The cerebellar arteries supply the part of the |brain| located at the base of the |skull| behind the |brain| stem. The |cerebellum| is concerned with coordinating voluntary muscular activity, such as walking, and maintaining equilibrium. Blockage, or occlusion, of one of the arteries leading to the |cerebellum| may result in the loss of awareness of pain and temperature, numbness of the face, and |paralysis| or lack of coordination on one side of the body.
